Social gathering

　　
A social gathering for scholarship students (from the 33rd and 34th classes of recipients) was held over the three-day period from October 26th to October 28th,2019. The students visited the Sagawa Art Museum (in Moriyama, Shiga Prefecture), toured a teahouse, and participated in a tea ceremony. They also visited Kyoto’s Arashiyama, where they enjoyed riding an open-air train and boating down the Hozu River as well as opportunities to experience Japanese traditions and culture, including making washi paper lanterns.
